Tennessee High School Soccer - Union County overwhelmed by Anderson County
May 4, 2023: Maynardville, TN 37807 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) and the host Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN), saw Anderson County's soccer squad triumph over Union County by a count of 7-0.
The Mavericks now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Roane County for a 2A District 5 test on Monday, May 8. Anderson County will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Harriman (Harriman, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 6-2.
With the loss, Union County drops to 4-9 on the season. The Patriots host Cherokee (Rogersville, TN) to meet the Chiefs in a 2A District 2 test on Monday, May 8. The Chiefs come into the test with a record of 3-11. Cherokee lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against West Greene (Mosheim, TN)
