May 4, 2023: Pontiac, IL 61764 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) and the visiting Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), saw Pontiac's softball squad nip Normal University by a count of 2-1.
The Indians now sport a 18-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 9.
With the loss, Normal University falls to 21-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Normal Community (Normal, IL) to face the Ironmen in a non-league match on Friday, May 5. The Ironmen enter the match with a record of 10-11. Normal Community lost 16-1 in their recent league match against Normal West (Normal, IL)
