May 5, 2021: Lincoln, IL 62656 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL) softball team overwhelmed the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), by a margin of 8-1.
With the triumph, Normal West moves its record to 11-2 on the year. The Wildcats host Champaign Central (Champaign, IL) to play the Maroons in a Big Twelve contest on Thursday, May 6. The Maroons come into the contest with a record of 2-7. Champaign Central lost 8-7 in their recent league contest against Centennial (Champaign, IL)
In their next game, the Railsplitters play the Tri-City/Sangamon Valley Storm (Niantic, IL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, May 6. Lincoln will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Storm come into the contest with a 7-1 record after their 13-0 non-league win over New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL).
