The Steward baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Covenant Eagles to 2 in the non-league victory on Thursday.

The (12-7) will now prepare for their match against Greenbrier Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA). The Gators go into the Tidewater Independent match with a 19-7 record. In their last match, Greenbrier Christian Academy gained a win over Norfolk Academy (Norfolk, VA), 13-6, in a league match.
