The Sylmar Spartans topped the visiting Chavez Eagles volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spartans now have a 17-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Pedro for a non-league test on Monday, May 9. Sylmar will confront a Pirates team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Vaughn (San Fernando, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 5-14.
