La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hemet Bulldogs (Hemet, CA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Blackhawks now own a 21-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to West for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. La Quinta will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Chino (Chino, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 21-8.

With the loss, Hemet falls to 18-10 on the campaign.
