Virginia High School Softball - Oakton topped by Yorktown
May 5, 2022: Vienna, VA 22181 The Yorktown Patriots softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Oakton Cougars to 2 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Yorktown moves its record to 6-10 on the year. The Patriots host George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA) to play the Statesmen in a Liberty game on Monday, May 9. The Statesmen come into the game with a record of 8-6. George C. Marshall won 9-1 in their recent league game against Herndon (Herndon, VA)
In their next game, the Cougars play the Centreville Wildcats (Clifton, VA) in a Concorde game, on Friday, May 6. Oakton will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record.
