Shenendehowa Plainsmen (Clifton Park, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks (Saratoga Springs, NY), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Plainsmen now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cicero-North Syracuse for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. Shenendehowa will battle a Northstars squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Chittenango (Chittenango, NY). The Northstars record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Saratoga Springs falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Blue streaks travel to Liverpool (Liverpool, NY) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Liverpool won 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Fayetteville-Manlius (Manlius, NY)
