In Monday's non-league game, the host Liberty Minutemen baseball team scored a close 5-2 win over the Gretna Hawks.

The Minutemen (2-13) will now prepare for their game against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Seminole game with a 13-0 record. In their last game, Jefferson Forest nudged Rustburg (Rustburg, VA), 15-4, in a league game.

Next, the Hawks play the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) in a Dogwood game, on Wednesday, May 7. Gretna will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 6-6 record after their 7-1 league win over Altavista (Altavista, VA).
