In Monday's league match, the visiting Leo Lions softball team scored a tight 3-1 victory over the East Noble Knights.

The Lions (16-3) will now prepare for their match against Bellmont (Decatur, IN). The Braves go into the Northeast Eight match with a 5-8 record. In their last match, Bellmont by South Adams (Berne, IN), 5-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Carroll Chargers (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 6. East Noble will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Chargers enter the contest with a 10-4 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to Western (Russiaville, IN).
