Alaska High School Soccer - Kenai Central knocks off Houston
May 6, 2023: Kenai, AK 99611 Kenai Central Kardinals (Kenai, AK) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Kardinals confront the Soldotna Stars (Soldotna, AK) in a Peninsula challenge, on Monday, May 8. Kenai Central will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Stars enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 1-1 non-league Grace Christian (Anchorage, AK).
The Hawks now possess a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grace Christian for a Northern Lights challenge on Tuesday, May 9. Houston will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 1-1 non-league Soldotna (Soldotna, AK). The Grizzlies record now stands at 3-4.
