New York High School Softball - Chester bounces Rhinebeck
May 6, 2023: Chester, NY 10918 Chester Hambletonians (Chester, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Rhinebeck Hawks (Rhinebeck, NY), 14-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Hambletonians now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host Eldred for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. Chester will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 10-4 non-league win over Burke Catholic (Goshen, NY). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Rhinebeck falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Hawks host Spackenkill (Poughkeepsie, NY) to battle the Spartans in a Mid Hudson Athletic challenge on Monday, May 8. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Spackenkill won 29-6 in their recent league challenge against Dover (Dover Plains, NY)
