In Monday's non-league game, the host Newman Central Catholic Comets baseball team scored a nice 14-5 victory over the Amboy Clippers.

The Comets (19-4) will now prepare for their game against Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL). The Storm go into the Three Rivers game with a 11-13 record. In their last game, Bureau Valley was overwhelmed by Hall (Spring Valley, IL), 9-0, in a league game.
