May 6, 2024: Metamora, IL 61548 The Metamora Redbirds softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts to 1 in the Redbirds non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Metamora moves its record to 22-4 on the year. The Redbirds travel to Pekin (Pekin, IL) to clash with the Dragons in a Mid-Illini game on Tuesday, May 7. The Dragons come into the game with a record of 11-9.
In their next game, the Grey Ghosts clash with the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 8. Illinois Valley Central will attempt to move on its 15-14 season record. The Chiefs come into the game with a 14-8 record after their 10-8 non-league win over El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL).
