The SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Holmes Aces to 6 in the Cougars non-league win on Tuesday.

The Cougars now own a 15-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Pauls for a non-league test on Friday, May 9. SouthWest Edgecombe will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-13.

With the defeat, Holmes drops to 19-6 on the year.
