Virginia High School Baseball - Wakefield School loses to McLean
May 6, 2025: McLean, VA 22101 McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA), 4-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, McLean advances its record to 10-4 on the season. The Highlanders host Herndon (Herndon, VA) to battle the Hornets in a Liberty match on Friday, May 9. The Hornets come into the match with a record of 13-5. Herndon won 5-2 in their recent league match against Yorktown (Arlington, VA)
The Fighting Owls now have a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Langley for a non-league match on Monday, May 12.
