Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL) followers exited the stadium content Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad gain a win over the host Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL), 8-6 in a non-league battle.

The Cougars now have a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they host Evanston for a Central Suburban battle on Wednesday, May 11. Vernon Hills will clash with a Wildkits squad coming off a 11-5 non-league win over Latin (Chicago, IL). The Wildkits record now stands at 6-6.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Huntley Red Raiders (Huntley, IL) in a Fox Valley battle, on Tuesday, May 10. Cary-Grove will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Red Raiders come into the contest with a 10-4 record after their 20-0 league win over Jacobs (Algonquin, IL).
