In Saturday's non-league test, the host Highland Hornets lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-7 victory over the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish.

The Hornets now have a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Wadsworth for a non-league test on Monday, May 9.

The Fighting Irish (6-9) will now prepare for their game against Canfield (Canfield, OH). The Cardinals go into the Region 6 game with a 7-7 record. In their last game, Canfield was tipped by Southeast (Ravenna, OH), 16-6, in a league game.
