May 7, 2022: Shawnee Mission, KS 66202 Shawnee Mission North Bison (Shawnee Mission, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bonner Springs Braves (Bonner Springs, KS), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Bison now own a 16-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lawrence for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Shawnee Mission North will face a Lions squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Blue Valley Northwest (Overland Park, KS). The Lions record now stands at 5-11.
With the loss, Bonner Springs falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Braves host Baldwin (Baldwin, KS) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-12. Baldwin lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against McLouth (McLouth, KS)
