Illinois High School Softball - St. Joseph-Ogden bounces Meridian
May 7, 2022: St. Joseph, IL 61873 St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Meridian Hawks (Macon, IL), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Spartans now own a 21-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tuscola for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9. St. Joseph-Ogden will face a Warriors squad coming off a 10-3 league win over St. Teresa (Decatur, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 16-4.
With the loss, Meridian falls to 18-4 on the campaign. The Hawks host Williamsville (Williamsville, IL) to face the Bullets in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9. The Bullets enter the challenge with a record of 9-11. Williamsville won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL)
