May 7, 2024: Newport News, VA 23602 The Menchville Monarchs smashed the visiting Phoebus Phantoms soccer squad by a margin of 7-0 in Tuesday's league match.
The Monarchs now sport a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Denbigh for a Peninsula match on Tuesday, May 14. Menchville will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 9-1 league loss to Bethel (Hampton, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-11.
With the loss, Phoebus drops to 5-9 on the season. The Phantoms travel to Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA) to encounter the Warriors in a Peninsula match on Thursday, May 9. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 6-6. Kecoughtan lost 7-0 in their recent league match against Woodside (Newport News, VA)
