In Wednesday's non-league match, the Washington Township Senators (Valparaiso, IN) volleyball team were victorious over the host Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN), by a tally of 3-0.

The Senators now have a 14-3 record. They play next when they host DeMotte Christian for a non-league outing on Thursday, May 8. Washington Township will play a Knights team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Boone Grove (Valparaiso, IN). The Knights record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Merrillville drops to 9-15 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Chesterton (Chesterton, IN) to play the Trojans in a IBVCA outing on Thursday, May 8. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 22-4. Chesterton won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against South Central (Union Mills, IN)
