Barnegat Bengals (Barnegat, NJ) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Central Regional Golden Eagles (Bayville, NJ), 6-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Barnegat improves its record to 16-5 on the year. The Bengals host Shore Regional (West Long Branch, NJ) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league game on Thursday, May 8. The Blue Devils enter the game with a record of 13-5. Shore Regional won 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Henry Hudson (Highlands, NJ)
