The Shelby Whippets triumphed over the host Crestview Cougars softball squad by a count of 13-4 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Whippets meet the Triway Titans (Wooster, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 11. Shelby will attempt to upgrade on its 21-4 season record. The Titans enter the challenge with a 16-8 record after their 11-0 non-league win over Waynedale (Apple Creek, OH).

The Cougars (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Monroeville (Monroeville, OH). The Eagles enter the Firelands challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Monroeville overcame St. Paul (Norwalk, OH), 8-2, in a league challenge.
