Simon Kenton Pioneers (Independence, KY) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Ryle Raiders (Union, KY), 13-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Simon Kenton upgrades its record to 13-13 on the year. The Pioneers host Notre Dame Academy (Park Hills, KY) to play the Pandas in a non-league game on Friday, May 8. The Pandas enter the game with a record of 9-10. Notre Dame Academy lost 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY)
