West Vigo Vikings (West Terre Haute, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Covington Trojans (Covington, IN), 18-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Putnam for a Western Indiana challenge on Wednesday, May 10. West Vigo will face a Eagles squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Northview (Brazil, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 5-11.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Benton Central Bison (Oxford, IN) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 9. Covington will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Bison come into the game with a 7-12 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN).
