Connecticut High School Softball - Somers bounces East Granby
May 8, 2023: Somers, CT 06071 Spectators at Monday's league match between the Somers Spartans (Somers, CT) and the visiting East Granby Crusaders (East Granby, CT), witnessed Somers's softball squad prevail over East Granby by a count of 10-0.
The Spartans now sport a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Coventry for a North Central Connecticut match on Tuesday, May 9. Somers will face a Patriots squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over East Lyme (East Lyme, CT). The Patriots record now stands at 14-0.
With the loss, East Granby moves to 1-9 on the season. The Crusaders host Rockville (Vernon, CT) to face the Rams in a North Central Connecticut match on Wednesday, May 10. The Rams go into the match with a record of 12-3. Rockville won 2-0 in their recent league match against Bolton (Bolton, CT)
