Indiana High School Volleyball - Northridge overwhelmed by Warsaw
May 8, 2025: Middlebury, IN 46540 Warsaw Tigers (Warsaw, IN) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Northridge Raiders (Middlebury, IN), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Warsaw advances its record to 10-7 on the season. The Tigers travel to Penn (Mishawaka, IN) to face the Kingsmen in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 14. The Kingsmen go into the test with a record of 10-10. Penn lost 3-1 in their recent league test against South Bend Riley (South Bend, IN)
The Raiders now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Bend Adams for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 13. Northridge will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Elkhart (Elkhart, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 0-7.
Match Summary
The Northridge Raider Boys’ Volleyball team battled hard but came up short against a tough Warsaw squad, dropping the match in straight sets: 21-25, 19-25, 23-25.
Senior Owen Holmes led the way for the Raiders with a team-high 9 kills and also anchored the defense at the net with 4 blocks. Holmes shared the blocking lead with teammates Jysen Besser and Jayse Runyan, who each also tallied 4 blocks.
From the service line, Jayse Runyan and Chris Janatello provided a spark, each delivering 2 aces. Rhyan Otto kept the offense moving with 16 assists.
