May 8, 2025: New Lenox, IL 60451 Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL), 2-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Lincoln-Way West moves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Warriors host Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL) to clash with the Knights in a SouthWest Suburban Read test on Tuesday, May 13. The Knights come into the test with a record of 13-3. Lincoln-Way Central won 9-0 in their recent league test against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL)
The Vikings now sport a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they host Lockport for a SouthWest Suburban Blue test on Tuesday, May 13. Homewood-Flossmoor will clash with a Porters team coming off a 5-0 league win over Stagg (Palos Hills, IL). The Porters record now stands at 16-4.
