Delaware High School Soccer - Sussex Central nudged by Lake Forest
May 8, 2025: Georgetown, DE 19947 Lake Forest Spartans (Felton, DE) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Sussex Central Golden Knights (Georgetown, DE), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Lake Forest moves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Delmar (Delmar, DE) to clash with the Wildcats in a Henlopen South test on Monday, May 12. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 11-2. Delmar won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Smyrna (Smyrna, DE)
The Golden Knights now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they host Smyrna for a Henlopen North test on Monday, May 12. Sussex Central will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Indian River (Dagsboro, DE). The Eagles record now stands at 2-11.
