Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA), 10-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hopewell improves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Vikings host Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA) to play the in a non-league game on Friday, May 9. The enter the game with a record of 11-4. Sewickley Academy lost 4-3 in their recent league game against South Side (Hookstown, PA)

The Tigers now hold a 9-9 record. They play next when they host Beaver for a non-league game on Saturday, May 10. Moon Area will play a Bobcats squad coming off a 13-6 league win over Western Beaver (Industry, PA). The Bobcats record now stands at 13-5.
