New Jersey High School Softball - New Egypt bounces Matawan Regional
May 8, 2025: New Egypt, NJ 08533 In Thursday's non-league match, the host New Egypt Warriors softball team scored a tight 10-5 win over the Matawan Regional Huskies.
The Warriors (13-6) will now prepare for their match against St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Lancers come into the non-league match with a 11-1 record. In their last match, St. John-Vianney nipped Middletown North (Middletown, NJ), 1-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Huskies confront the Allentown Redbirds (Allentown, NJ) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 8. Matawan Regional will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record. The Redbirds come into the match with a 9-7 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ).
