Virginia High School Baseball - James River wallops Bath County
May 8, 2026: Hot Springs, VA 24445 The James River Knights baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Bath County Chargers to 0 in the Knights non-league win on Friday.
The Knights now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Floyd County for a Three Rivers test on Tuesday, May 12. James River will clash with a Buffaloes team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Buffaloes record now stands at 6-11.
With the defeat, Bath County drops to 10-5 on the year. The Chargers travel to Richwood (Richwood, WV) to clash with the Lumberjacks in a non-league test on Monday, May 11. The Lumberjacks go into the test with a record of 5-12. Richwood lost 16-6 in their recent non-league test against Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV)
