The Bloomfield Cardinals (Bloomfield, IN) baseball trounced the host Eastern Greene Thunderbirds (Bloomfield, IN), 11-3 in Friday's league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they host Shakamak for a Southwestern Indiana challenge on Wednesday, May 13. Bloomfield will clash with a Lakers team coming off a 3-1 league win over Linton-Stockton (Linton, IN). The Lakers record now stands at 11-5.

With the defeat, Eastern Greene drops to 6-12 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Cloverdale (Cloverdale, IN) to clash with the Clovers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 11. The Clovers go into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Cloverdale lost 13-2 in their recent non-league challenge against North Putnam (Roachdale, IN)
