The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Northwestern Tigers (Kokomo, IN) and the host West Lafayette Red Devils (West Lafayette, IN), saw Northwestern's baseball team gain a win over West Lafayette by a tally of 16-4.

The Tigers (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Eastern (Greentown, IN). The Comets enter the non-league battle with a 14-6 record. In their last battle, Eastern prevailed over Manchester (North Manchester, IN), 21-9, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Red Devils face the Crawfordsville Athenians (Crawfordsville, IN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 9. West Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Athenians enter the battle with a 10-9 record after their 6-1 league win over Western Boone (Thorntown, IN).
