In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Kennedy Memorial Mustangs softball team scored a tight 8-3 victory over the J.P. Stevens Hawks.

The Mustangs (11-6) will now prepare for their match against South Plainfield (South Plainfield, NJ). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 14-10 record. In their last match, South Plainfield was routed by Dayton (Springfield, NJ), 5-4, in a non-league match.
