Lake Catholic Cougars (Mentor, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Beaumont School Blue Streaks (Cleveland Heights, OH), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andrews Osborne Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13.

With the loss, Beaumont School falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Blue streaks travel to Archbishop Hoban (Akron, OH) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12.
