Illinois High School Softball - Lincoln nudges Tri-Valley
May 9, 2022: Lincoln, IL 62656 Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Railsplitters now own a 17-12 record. They take the field next when they host Illinois Valley Central for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. Lincoln will battle a Grey Ghosts squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Grey Ghosts record now stands at 15-7.
With the loss, Tri-Valley falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Vikings host Cerro Gordo (Cerro Gordo, IL) to battle the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
