May 9, 2022: Pinckneyville, IL 62274 Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Okawville Rockets (Okawville, IL), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 14-12 record. They take the field next when they host Benton for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Pinckneyville will battle a Rangers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Waltonville (Waltonville, IL). The Rangers record now stands at 9-15.
With the loss, Okawville falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Wesclin (Trenton, IL) to battle the Warriors in a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 11-11. Wesclin won 9-7 in their recent league challenge against Chester (Chester, IL)
