The South Williamsport Mountaineers routed the host Penns Valley Area Rams softball squad by a final score of 7-2 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Mountaineers (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Sugar Valley Rural (Loganton, PA). The Phoenix go into the non-league battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Sugar Valley Rural was routed by Neumann Regional Academy (Williamsport, PA), 17-3, in a league battle.
The Rams now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hollidaysburg for a Mountain - Northern battle on Tuesday, May 10. Penns Valley Area will meet a Golden Tigers squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Bald Eagle Area (Wingate, PA). The Golden Tigers record now stands at 5-9.
