In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Ironton Fighting Tigers baseball team scored a close 12-9 win over the Russell Red Devils.

The Fighting Tigers (14-2) will now prepare for their game against Rock Hill (Ironton, OH). The Redmen go into the Ohio Valley game with a 5-11 record. In their last game, Rock Hill by Symmes Valley (Willow Wood, OH), 4-2, in a non-league game.

Next, the Red Devils play the Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 12. Russell will attempt to improve on its 16-11 season record.
