Illinois High School Soccer - Wheeling knocks off Maine East
May 9, 2025: Wheeling, IL 60090 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL) and the visiting Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL), saw Wheeling's soccer squad prevail over Maine East by a count of 4-0.
The Wildcats (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Zion-Benton (Zion, IL). The Zee-Bees enter the non-league battle with a 3-15 record. In their last battle, Zion-Benton by Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL), 8-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Blue Demons battle the Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 13. Maine East will attempt to upgrade on its 4-18 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 11-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Crystal Lake Central (Crystal Lake, IL).
