Virginia High School Softball - Norcom can't get by Granby
May 9, 2025: Norfolk, VA 23505 Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), 1-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, Granby improves its record to 14-4 on the year. The Comets travel to Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA) to play the Mighty Bookers in a Eastern game on Tuesday, May 13. The Mighty Bookers enter the game with a record of 1-11. Booker T. Washington lost 18-5 in their recent league game against Churchland (Portsmouth, VA)
The Greyhounds now hold a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hampton for a non-league game on Saturday, May 10. Norcom will play a Crabbers squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Menchville (Newport News, VA). The Crabbers record now stands at 2-11.
