In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Winamac Warriors softball team scored a tight 7-2 victory over the Tipton Blue Devils.

The Warriors (13-3) will now prepare for their match against McCutcheon (Lafayette, IN). The Mavericks go into the non-league match with a 6-9 record. In their last match, McCutcheon was routed by Avon (Avon, IN), 12-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 10. Tipton will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Kougars go into the match with a 8-8 record after their 4-3 league loss to Highland (Highland, IN).
