Iowa High School Baseball - Wayne defeats Murray
June 10, 2024: Corydon, IA 50060 Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Murray Mustangs (Murray, IA), 7-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Wayne upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Falcons travel to East Union (Afton, IA) to battle the Eagles in a Pride of Iowa test on Tuesday, June 11. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 6-5. East Union lost 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA)
With the defeat, Murray falls to 3-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Bedford (Bedford, IA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Wednesday, June 12. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 9-6. Bedford won 14-0 in their recent league test against Nodaway Valley/Orient-Macksburg (Greenfield, IA)
