Virginia High School Baseball - Altavista held off by Northumberland
June 10, 2025: Altavista, VA 24517 Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) followers left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA), 3-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Northumberland moves its record to 19-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to battle the Pioneers in a non-league match on Friday, June 13. The Pioneers come into the match with a record of 17-5. Fort Chiswell won 9-5 in their recent non-league match against Eastside (Coeburn, VA)
The Colonels now possess a 18-7 record.
