Iowa High School Softball - Belle Plaine knocked off by Hillcrest Academy
June 12, 2025: Belle Plaine, IA 52208 The Hillcrest Academy Ravens overwhelmed the host Belle Plaine Plainsmen softball squad by a count of 15-5 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Ravens meet the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves (Winfield, IA) in a SE IA Super - North challenge, on Thursday, June 12. Hillcrest Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Wolves go into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Central Lee (Donnellson, IA).
The Plainsmen (0-15) will now prepare for their challenge against H-L-V (Victor, IA). The Warriors go into the South Iowa Cedar challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, H-L-V was routed by Sigourney (Sigourney, IA), 10-9, in a league challenge.
