Iowa High School Softball - Hudson held off by Columbus
June 12, 2025: Hudson, IA 50643 The Columbus Sailors got by the host Hudson Pirates softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Sailors meet the Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, June 16. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Huskies go into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 4-1 league loss to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA).
The Pirates (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cascade (Cascade, IA). The Cougars go into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Cascade held off Monticello (Monticello, IA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
