Iowa High School Softball - Central Lyon bounces South O'Brien
June 13, 2024: Paullina, IA 51046 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Central Lyon Lions (Rock Rapids, IA) and the host South O'Brien Wolverines (Paullina, IA), witnessed Central Lyon's softball squad tip South O'Brien by a count of 11-7.
The Lions now sport a 4-6 record. They play next when they host West Lyon for a Siouxland match on Friday, June 14. Central Lyon will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-1.
With the loss, South O'Brien moves to 6-9 on the season. The Wolverines travel to George-Little Rock (George, IA) to face the Mustangs in a War Eagle match on Friday, June 14. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 1-6. George-Little Rock lost 16-8 in their recent league match against West Sioux (Hawarden, IA)
