Iowa High School Baseball - Saydel nips Coon Rapids-Bayard
June 14, 2025: Des Moines, IA 50313 The Saydel Eagles baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders to 2 in the Eagles non-league win on Saturday.
The Eagles now own a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Hamilton for a non-league test on Monday, June 16. Saydel will play a Hawks team coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-7.
With the defeat, Coon Rapids-Bayard drops to 13-2 on the year. The Crusaders host Exira-EHK (Elk Horn, IA) to play the Spartans in a Rolling Valley test on Monday, June 16. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 1-8. Exira-EHK lost 6-1 in their recent league test against Woodbine (Woodbine, IA)
